the bloomers take jerusalem...well, not really

...Jerusalem has really been taken enough times in our opinion, but we are again humbled by our experience in the ancient town of Jerusalem. Our tour guide Dani showed us through the wonders of the old, and apparently holiest city on earth, and there we saw some insanely beautiful sites. We had the chance to visit, and make a wish at the Wailing Wall, which is the remains of the Western Wall of the Second Temple from over 2000 years ago. We also discovered that Old Jerusalem, despite being levelled and destroyed many many times, still exists under the layers of rubble...and we got to see it with our own eyes in the old tunnels. We even watched the archaelogists in the process of excavating - literally stone by stone! Here are pictures of Jerusalem by night, from a rooftop restaurant. Pretty amazing! And also a picture of the Wailing Wall.
